I'm the owner of Senior Helpers of Grand Rapids, a private duty home care agency serving older adults and their families in the greater Grand Rapids area. I grew up in Buffalo, went to Michigan State, and earned my Doctorate in Physical Therapy before spending nearly a decade in home health PT across Colorado working with both adults and pediatric patients. Along the way I also earned an MBA in Strategy and Innovation because I always knew I wanted to build something of my own eventually. That combination of clinical and business experience is really what led me to Senior Helpers and to Grand Rapids.

My wife Emily is an occupational therapist who co-owns the agency with me, and that shared clinical background shapes everything about how we operate. We moved here to be closer to family and found a community we genuinely love being part of. Together we've built Senior Helpers around dependable, relationship driven care that connects what happens in a clinical setting to what actually sustains people once they're back home. For us this isn't just a business, it's an extension of the work we've both dedicated our careers to. We're proud to be growing something here in Grand Rapids that families can rely on and that referral partners can genuinely count on.

At Council on Aging of Kent County, our mission is to identify and assess the needs of Kent County’s aging population while strengthening the network of services designed to address those needs. Your participation helps us build a stronger, more connected senior care network.
